Brenna Schmidt

Brenna Schmidt (she/her) is an urbanist and equity specialist studying City and Regional Planning with a focus on Sustainable Community Development & Climate Resiliency at the University of Pennsylvania. Her passion for cities stems from her upbringing in a small town, where she harbored dreams of immersing herself in the vibrant diversity and endless possibilities of city life. This early fascination, coupled with her experiences working in the Mayor's Office in the City of Philadelphia, has deepened Brenna's commitment to creating inclusive and resilient urban spaces. Drawing from her roots and her professional background, Brenna advocates for underserved communities through human-centered design, equitable policies, and impactful social initiatives. Before pursuing her academic journey at Penn, Brenna earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Spanish from Temple University, laying the foundation for her interdisciplinary approach to addressing urban challenges and fostering positive change.
