Gabriela Toscano
Gabriela Toscano is a graduating student in the Master of Environmental Building Design (MEBD) program at the University of Pennsylvania with a passion for designing climate conscious buildings. She completed her Bachelor of Architecture from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) also receiving minors in sustainability and graphic design. While at RPI, she studied at CASE, the Center for Architecture Science and Ecology where she began to participate in research merging technology and sustainable architecture. These research projects include materials from waste products, hydroponic farming, and a climate adaptive façade panel. This experience led her to pursue her master’s at Weitzman where she gained skills in passive design, daylighting simulation, energy modeling, and life cycle assessment. Gabriela plans to use her knowledge in climate responsive designs, passive strategies, and building simulation to create a more resilient future as a Sustainability Consultant for Gensler-Climate Action Studio post-graduation.
