Illa Labroo
Illa came to the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in architecture and 5 years of working experience at KSS Architects. She has always had a deep love for outdoor spaces and their design, particularly those that are more integrated in the urban realm. Throughout both her architecture and landscape work, biodiversity and urban planning have been topics of great interest, thinking about both as systems that connect complex webs of human, non-human, place and process. In her time at the Weitzman School of Design, Illa has been engaged in projects from regional master plans, more focused on experience and ecology, to smaller scaled, technical, design-build work at a local high school in West Philadelphia.
