Martha Ashe

Before I came to Penn, I worked in advertising in NYC for five years. As luck would have it, I discovered landscape architecture and began dreaming of building a public park one day. I quit my job to restart my career in something I had no experience in, but something I believed in. Today, I'm passionate about urban design. I believe landscape architects are responsible for sculpting the public realm, inspiring community and building a more resilient world. Penn gave me the tools to contribute to this effort. I'm excited to graduate and start creating the spaces that bring meaning to people's lives and that safeguard cities for the challenges to come.
