Sharlene Yulita

Sharlene Yulita is a multidisciplinary designer specializing in architectural design with a background in fine arts, product design, and biomaterial research. Born and raised in Indonesia, her passion is rooted in socially-responsive and environmentally-conscious design that holistically utilizes materiality, space, and form as a design strategy. She recieved her bachelor's degree from the School of the Art Insitute of Chicago and will soon complete her Master of Architecture degree from the University of Pennsylvania with a certificate in Integrated Product Design.

During her time at Penn, she was awarded the Warren Laird Powers Award, Walter R. Leach II Fellowship, and Samuel K. Schneidman Fellowship. She was also finalist for the HoK Futures Design competition for three consecutive years; second place in 2022, third place in 2023, and first place in 2024. Moving forward, she hopes to continue her joy of storytelling through design and research; sharing the beauties of our world to everyone around.
