Andreina Sojo
Andreina Sojo is an interdisciplinary designer from Caracas, Venezuela, currently in her fourth year of a dual-degree master’s program in Architecture and Landscape Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania. She earned a Bachelor of Design in Architecture with a minor in Landscape Architecture from the University of Florida, graduating summa cum laude. Andreina’s work is driven by a deep commitment to heritage, scientific research, and the creation of transformative public and cultural spaces.
Her passion for design has led her to contribute to LA+ Journal and engage in research at DumoLab, where she contributed to projects like "Cellulose Pavilion" and "CanoPIT", which was submitted to the ACSA 112th Annual Meeting. Andreina’s global perspective is reflected in her academic exchange at the Architectural Association in London and her representation of Penn at the SEU-UPenn workshop in China. As a graduate teaching assistant at Penn, she has actively fostered knowledge exchange and diversity within the Weitzman community.
With professional experience at firms such as LO Design, Field Operations, PORT Urbanism, OLIN Studio, and HuntonBrady Architects, Andreina’s work has been featured in Pressing Matter and Landscape in Process, and she contributed illustrations to The Art of Instrumentality by Richard Weller. Her dedication to multiscalar and public-centered design has earned honors, including the Weitzman School of Design Diversity Scholarship, the 2024 WRT Award, and the Walter R. Leach II Fellowship.
