Anna Duan
Anna Duan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from the University of Pennsylvania, where she received the program’s Best Thesis award for her ethnography on how neighborhood change in West Philadelphia manifested through social dynamics in a local bodybuilding gym. She is currently pursuing a Master of Urban Spatial Analytics (MUSA) at Penn’s Weitzman School of Design while working at a tech startup in New York City. Her background includes academic research, social impact consulting, and data science, with interests in data visualization and open-source data. Her favorite parts of the MUSA program have included serving as a teaching assistant for Public Policy Analytics, partnering with Penn Athletics for her capstone project, and continuing to explore the city of Philadelphia.
