Ethan Seemungal

Ethan Seemungal is a Master of Architecture graduate from the University of Pennsylvania. His design work explores the intersections of architecture, ecology, and the public realm. Through a series of advanced studios, Ethan has developed projects that respond to food insecurity, flood risk, and spatial inequality—working on sites in New York City, Philadelphia, and Governors Island.

Ethan was awarded the Dales Traveling Fellowship, which supported his semester abroad at the Architectural Association in London and independent research across Spain. Professionally, he has worked at CetraRuddy and interned with WSP’s Transit and Facilities team, where he contributed to large-scale infrastructure projects for the MTA and NJDOT. He will return to WSP full-time after graduation. Across his academic and professional work, Ethan is committed to shaping more equitable, climate-responsive cities through thoughtful, interdisciplinary design.
