Haitao Tai

Haitao Tai is a graduate student in the Master of Science in Design (Advanced Architectural Design) program at the University of Pennsylvania. He previously earned a Bachelor of Architecture from North China University of Technology and participated in an exchange program at Technical University of Berlin. His academic and professional experiences span China, Germany, and the United States, shaping a diverse architectural perspective grounded in urban planning, adaptive reuse, and cultural analysis. Haitao has interned at Studio NOR and Ritzarto Architecture, contributing to large-scale commercial and educational projects from concept through construction documentation. He is particularly interested in integrating industrial elements into public architecture and exploring the social impact of spatial organization. His extracurricular pursuits include architecture travel writing, filmmaking, and game design, all of which inform his creative approach. Haitao’s work reflects a strong synthesis of design thinking, technical skill, and cross-disciplinary curiosity.
