Throughout my studies at Penn, studios became spaces for playful exploration, blending sustainability, nature-inspired designs, and community-centered architecture. From imagining Governors Island protected by a berm and topped with a hydroponic tower, to creating organic living spaces inspired by the vibrant ecology of peacocks, each project was a fresh way to think about architecture’s role in nature and society. Turning highway underpasses into active hubs powered by recycled waste, or experimenting with mass-timber buildings filled with exotic urban gardens, I learned to approach design challenges with curiosity and creativity. Collaborating with eager classmates and mentors made these experiences especially memorable. Serving as a Teaching Assistant in Construction Documentation for two semesters further strengthened my skills in BIM, construction detailing, and digital fabrication, while also giving me the chance to support and learn alongside others. My time at Penn has been an exciting journey and has furthered my passion for architecture that will make an impact.
