Nour Jafar

Nour Jafar is a practicing architect with experience in corporate architecture and transportation projects in Chicago and Kuwait. She received her Bachelors of Architecture from Kuwait University in 2017, and two professional degrees from the University of Pennsylvania: Master of City Planning in 2021, and Master of Science in Historic Preservation in 2025. Her research focuses on post-colonial landscapes in Kuwait and the political implications of modernity during the years surrounding Kuwait's independence from the British Empire. Jafar explores themes of decolonisation, Pan Arab nationalism, and vernacular modernism in Kuwait.
