Qingrou Dai

Qingrou Dai is a Master of Science student in Historic Preservation with a concentration in Architectural Conservation at the University of Pennsylvania. As an undergraduate, she focused on historic site management. In the summer of 2024, she was a research intern at the Center for Architectural Conservation and Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens, where she contributed to the experimental on-site conservation of mosaic murals. Her passion for ancient building techniques and materials, along with a deep interest in traditional Chinese craftsmanship, informs her graduate research on finishes and wood. She also developed skills in petrography, instrumental analysis, and laboratory testing.
