Qiyu Wang

Qiyu is a Master of Landscape Architecture candidate at the University of Pennsylvania Weitzman School of Design, with a focus on urban resilience and sustainability. Growing up in Changsha and working in cities including Shanghai, Portland, and Philadelphia, she has developed a strong interest in how landscape can respond to climate challenges, restore ecological systems, and reconnect fragmented urban environments.

Her experiences at Penn has explored environmental justice in historic districts and the role of public art in post-industrial renewal. Through interdisciplinary collaborations and site-scale design, she aims to create adaptive, inclusive landscapes that are grounded in place, culture, and community.
