Regina Gonano

Regina holds a Master of Architecture from the Weitzman School of Design and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Kent State University. Her thesis and ongoing research focus on adaptive reuse through unconventional materiality, examining how a single waste stream can intersect with traditional local craft and globally sourced resources to shape innovative, sustainable design solutions. Her design approach is deeply rooted in environmental responsibility and community impact. In past projects, she has worked with natural and climate-conscious materials to develop mixed-use buildings that aim to restore ecosystems, address urban food scarcity, and enhance public engagement through thoughtful, meandering spatial experiences.
