My time in the Landscape Architecture program has been transformative, shaped by both personal growth and collective progress. Coming from a background in sculpture and fine arts, I found joy in model making and value the tactile process that goes into design. The faculty’s unwavering support and genuine care for my progress pushed me to explore ideas beyond my initial scope, always encouraging me to think critically about my next steps. Serving as the student representative for three years was a tremendous honor, as my peers entrusted me to be their point person and voice in shaping the future of our program.
As I look forward, I am excited to continue expanding my research into the intersection of climate adaptation and night design. Understanding urban spaces through a 24-hour lens has reshaped my perspective on addressing urban heat challenges and inspired me to consider design solutions that embrace both day and night. Reflecting on this journey, I am grateful for the experiences that have fostered my skills as well as my vision for resilient landscapes.
