Viva (Hongyu) Wan
Hello, I'm Viva Wan, a transportation planner passionate about using data to support human-centered planning and create more connected, sustainable neighborhoods. At Penn, I studied major policy proposals like the Roosevelt Boulevard Subway and New York City’s Congestion Relief Zone, and completed a project analyzing the time-based relationship between subway and bike-share ridership. Before Penn, I studied architecture and urban design, and conducted independent quantitative research on the spatial characteristics of the Bund in Shanghai. These experiences have strengthened my skills in data analysis, infographic design, and technical writing.
Looking ahead, I'm excited to help build transportation systems that are more accessible, equitable, and sustainable through planning that supports underserved communities.
