Wenjun Zhu
With a background spanning landscape architecture, urban design, and smart city planning, I have gradually deepened my understanding of cities through both spatial design and data-driven analysis.
My academic path—from Zhejiang University to Columbia University and now the University of Pennsylvania—has grounded me in both design and analytics, with a recent focus on urban data, GIS, and quantitative modeling. I have applied skills in Python, R, and ArcGIS to projects ranging from climate adaptation and stormwater simulation to transportation planning and housing policy. Through internships in urban design and smart product development, I’ve explored how geospatial analysis and planning tools can inform real-world applications—from digital platforms to community-scale design—bridging the gap between technology and the urban experience.
