RIBA USA Annual Lecture by Dr. Ken Yeang
Opening Remarks: RIBA-USA President James Karl Fischer PhD RIBA
Dr. Ken Yeang is an architect and ecologist, known for his distinctive ecoarchitecture, and is one of the world’s leading green architects. He trained at the Architectural Association School (UK), with a doctorate from Cambridge University. He is principal of T. R. Hamzah & YeangSdn. Bhd. with offices in UK and China, and has expertise in delivering distinct, innovative ecological architecture and masterplans beyond conventional accreditation. He holds the Distinguished Plym Professorship at Illinois University (United States) and has authored over 12 books on green architecture. Awards received include the Aga Khan Award, Malaysian Institute of Architects Gold Medal and the Malaysian Government’s Merdeka Award. He has been named by The Guardian as ‘one of the 50 people who could save the planet.’
