Matthijs Bouw, associate professor of practice here at the Weitzman School, Fellow for Risk and Resilience at The Ian L. McHarg Center for Urbanism and Ecology, and director of the Certificate in Urban Resilience is helping plan more protective coastlines in South Carolina with ‘Imagine the Wall, Charleston’. This project envisions using nature-based solutions to help protect South Carolina’s shorelines as well as the city from storm surges, flooding and changing sea levels. Just how, you ask?
