Welcome back to our blog series, Why Weitzman Wednesdays! On the first Wednesday of each month, we will share a statement from a student/alum explaining why they chose Weitzman in hopes that it will help make your decision a little easier and show why Weitzman is the right choice for you!
"I chose to study Preservation at The Weitzman School of Design because of the program’s unique position within a design school. Preservation is a multifaceted field that can be approached from many angles. The curriculum is unique in that it acknowledges that, while also problematizing preservation as something designers need to be in dialogue with. The faculty in the program which range from Architects, Designers, Anthropologists and Historians representing the diverse array of preservation practices. This is only magnified by the tangencies between the other departments of the school. Weitzman’s many research centers further this spirit of collaboration and exploration of personal interests outside of studio and the classroom."
