Welcome back to our blog series, Why Weitzman Wednesdays! Where we share statements from students/alums explaining why they chose Weitzman in hopes that it will help make your decision a little easier and show why Weitzman is the right choice for you!
“Initially, I chose Weitzman because I completed my undergraduate degree at Penn as well. I felt that the City Planning degree complemented well my background in economics and public policy. As I looked more into the program two things stood out to me. The first was the proximity and access to professors. All of my professors have been incredibly helpful and willing to answer questions about courses, academic work, jobs, or just life in general. The other thing that stood out to me was the variety of courses available to students. This variety is from the professors, many are academic, but I have had a couple of classes from practicing professionals as well. I enjoy this to get a different perspective as well as understand better the application of theoretical principles learned in the class. There is also a great opportunity to take non-planning classes in other schools in the university. This variety is great in introducing me to new concepts and broadening my understanding.”
