Welcome to the fifth week of our new blog series, Why Weitzman Wednesdays! Over the next few weeks, we will be featuring current students and alums across all departments. We have asked them to share why they chose Weitzman in hopes that it will help make your decision a little easier and show why Weitzman is the right choice for you!
“I wasn’t initially planning to apply to Weitzman’s landscape architecture program, but I decided to go to the fall open house regardless. At the open house, I was taken with how accessible the department faculty were. A handful of great conversations across appointments, lunch, and mingling made me realize the program would be a great fit. I felt the same about historic preservation and left feeling excited about the possibility of doing both programs in tandem (something that wasn’t possible at the other schools I was applying to). So far, what I’ve enjoyed most is the landscape studio culture—it is collaborative, challenging, and often grueling, but also fun and inspiring. On day one our professors said that we’ll learn as much from our classmates as we do from our instructors. That has definitely held true.”
