Abinayaa Perezhilan
My explorations in the realm of architectural design have been two pronged: with the study of tangible building systems; and the creation of high-performance buildings through the study of environmental systems. My area of expertise is building performance simulations, energy modelling, daylighting, construction documentation, site supervision and all stages of design and construction.
In over two years of work experience, I had performed a variety of tasks ranging from design detailing, event organizations, concept development to physical and virtual modelling of single-family residences, office buildings and museum projects. During my work experience as an architect liaison, I managed projects and supervised construction progress collaborating with design teams and on-site managers. My internship with Shirish Beri & Associates helped me delve deeper into the concepts of sustainability through direct implementation using local materials and methods of construction. In my most recent internship, I had the opportunity to explore the design and manufacture of passive solar shading devices, wherein I conducted energy and day-lighting simulations informing design decisions.
