Al-Jalil Gault

While earning a Master of City Planning at the Weitzman School of Design, Al-Jalil focused his curricular study on geospatial data analytics to advance social, environmental, and economic resilience in planning. Before attending the University of Pennsylvania, Al-Jalil earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. These combined experiences in Architecture & Planning have prepared him to synthesize data and complex problems into actionable, creative solutions for regional development.
During his time at Penn, Al-Jalil was also Research Assistant with Econsult Solutions, Inc., an Intern Data Analyst at the School District of Philadelphia, and a Planning Intern with the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission. As a Research Assistant with the Ian McHarg Center for Urbanism & Ecology, he made substantial contributions to the policy brief: A Green New Deal of Education, a national planning & investment guide for deep-energy retrofits for 30,000 of the most vulnerable K-12 Public School buildings in the nation. Throughout his professional career, Al-Jalil will continue advancing social equity, environmental sustainability, and economic prosperity in planning.
