Jay Greene

Jay is passionate about making building happen by connecting people and knowledge in the fields of architecture and construction. She started her career in the building industry working in Field Operations for Suffolk Construction Company on the construction of Winthrop Square Tower ($800 Million), One Greenway Apartments ($100 Million), and the Suffolk Construction Headquarters Expansion ($60 Million). In addition to managing construction work, Jay conducted innovation research and piloted BIM, quality management, and planning software in the field.

In the Masters of Architecture program, Jay is a Graduate Research Assistant to Associate Professor Franca Trubiano on research in the area of construction labor ethics. Through her work in research and assistant teaching for the construction core curriculum, the realized a passion for engaging designers in the enduring problems of the construction field. She is currently completing thesis work on how architects can collaborate with contractors to reduce construction safety hazards using design.

In the future, Jay hopes to visit jobsites all over the world, engage with design through a love of building, learn Italian, and spend as much time as she can in nature.
