Marzia Micali

Marzia is completing a master's degree in Landscape Architecture, and she holds a bachelor's and master's in Architecture from the Università Mediterranea di Reggio Calabria. Growing up in a small town in Sicily, she experienced beautiful Mediterranean landscapes and architecture, and she developed a strong interest in art, history, and aesthetics. Her internship experience in The Netherlands and Italy brought her closer to landscape architecture and ecology and particularly in the interrelation between design, nature, and human perception. During her process, photography, physical models, and sketches are her favorite tools to experiment with design as a form of research. She tends to take inspiration from different sources in art and nature, synthesizing and integrating their elements with the history and the identity of the site.
