Namratha Kondam

Coming from a country like India which reflects rich culture and heritage, I was always fascinated by historic structures and the stories that revolves around them. This interest has encouraged me to pursue my career in Historic Preservation. My training and experience at University of Pennsylvania has exposed me to the various fields within Preservation. Trained as a civil engineer in my undergraduate and getting a master’s degree in Historic Preservation has opened a new path for me to preserve the historic structures. I seek to learn new and innovative preservation practices used for diagnosing various issues in the historic fabric. My goal is to give a better purpose and meaning to the historic structures by preserving their historic fabric as well as the cultural heritage connected to them.
