Tianhui Zhang

My architectural interests are focused on space-making between the quantified rationality of geometric forms and our sensorial affection for the natural world.
Prior to the University of Pennsylvania, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in architecture from the University of California, Berkeley. I have worked for two years, learning valuable lessons in practice, in both California and Shanghai before pursuing my master's degree at Penn in 2018.
I was born and raised in Guangdong, China before pursuing my degrees in the US. Having lived and worked in different parts of the world(China, France, US), I have learned to listen to differences and gained a deep appreciation for the diverse attitudes toward architecture and life. Outside of architecture, my interests include languages, cinema, and history.
I am excited to build on my education and bring my interests in the relationship between the built environment, ecology, and human experiences forward in the professional world. I look forward to opportunities that will allow me to make positive impacts on our profession and the environment.
