Ana Celdran

Ana Celdran is a born and raised Cuban designer whose career started in 2011 at the Universidad Central de las Villas, Cuba. She earned a Bachelor of Design from the University of Florida and is pursuing a Master of Architecture degree from the Stuart Weitzman School of Design at the University of Pennsylvania. Her career is an amalgam of technical building construction education and aesthetically innovative academia. Influenced by technical drawing methods and their abstract qualities, her work reveals pictorial depth produced by the overlapping of flattened images, in conjunction with descriptive geometry techniques. Her design methodology focuses on how a set of design rules can recreate the authenticity of specific building typologies.
Ana has been exhibited and/or published by Pressing Matters, the Stuart Weitzman School of Design, and the University of Florida. She is the recipient of the 2021 Dales Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, Barbara G. Laurie 2017 Student Design Competition, Robert L. Outland Women and Minority Scholarship, and AIA Miami Chapter Student of the Year Miami Dade College 2016.
