Ben Dodson

Ben Dodson recently completed his Master of City Planning and a Master of Urban Spatial Analytics degrees from the University of Pennsylvania’s Weitzman School of Design where he focused on transportation infrastructure planning. His major collaborative projects included the Norristown Transportation Center Vision Plan developed as part of the Fall 2020 SEPTA Rail Transit planning studio led by Leslie Richards and the Olney Together 2030 neighborhood plan completed for First-Year Planning Workshop. Ben also completed an independent study on pandemic-responsive service planning principles for New York City’s subways under the direction of Dr. Dana Tomlin.

Upon graduation, Ben will continue his role as an analyst at the Northeast Corridor Commission based in Washington, DC. In his current role, Ben is responsible for tracking and reporting on the progress of delivering a multi-billion-dollar capital portfolio of railroad infrastructure projects on the Northeast Corridor. Previously, Ben has held internships at SEPTA and Chapel Hill Transit working on bus service planning and transit equity analyses. Ben received a B.S. in Environmental Science with a minor in Landscape Architecture from North Carolina State University in 2019.
