Marc Schultz

Marc is committed to advancing social, economic, and environmental resilience using the tools of urban design and city planning.

An ardent believer in the power of local community to progress the public good, much of his work during his two years pursuing a Master of City Planning at Penn focused on creating designs and plans that aimed to bolster blocks, neighborhoods, and cities. This work includes a redesign of the riverfront in Grays Ferry, Philadelphia according to community input, a design to reintegrate the urban and natural fabrics of St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands, and a design to retrofit suburbia in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico.

During his time at Penn, Marc also worked as a lead designer of Panorama, Penn's city planning journal, and a teaching assistant for both the Introduction to Urban Design Graphics course and the Urban Design Graphics Summer Bootcamp. In addition, he worked as the Policy and Visualizations Intern for the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia.

Upon graduating, Marc will continue his work professionally as an urban designer and planner based in Philadelphia. He is immensely grateful for the friends he's made during his time at the Weitzman School of Design.
