Tuo Chen
My name is Tuo Chen from Changsha, China. I received a bachelor's degree from University of Toronto and worked for a range of internationally recognized architects including Pickard Chilton, David Chipperfield, Isozaki + Huqian etc. I perceive design as the constraint of free inspiration to create total clarity. Great design is self-explanatory and innovative in the context that delivers value and inspires the community. Finding a tensional balance is the key to solving the problem, and dealing with dichotomies and contradictions.
My experience at Penn has allowed me to expand on my passion, skills and networks for future challenges in design and entrepreneurship. I am extremely grateful for all the amazing folks I have had the pleasure of knowing over the past 3 years, and I couldn't have done all the work without these talented and inspiring people.
