Turning to the Water

Turning to the water is a multistage proposal for the creation of a water bus rapid transit system in the city of Cartagena, Colombia. The proposal addresses both the harms that traffic has caused in the UNESCO world heritage site of the historic center and the ways in which transportation infrastructure has isolated many communities along the bay and Cinenega. Turning to the Water aims to leverage this great resource to protect the future of the historic center and connect the most impoverished and isolated areas of the city with resources and job opportunities.
