Conspiracy as Method: Design Narratives of Environmental Governance
The studio is a thought experiment; it proposes that the intentional design of conspiracy theories can help us imagine new and ambitious configurations of narrative, technology, politics, and institutions that might productively govern the environment in the face of climate uncertainty. It also proposes that landscape architects are uniquely suited to communicate complex political and ecological processes to a broad public through a synthesis of landscape analysis, design representation, and filmic storytelling.
