20-Century Contemporary Building Adaptive-Reuse: Office Buildings change to Apartments

The thesis proposes is to analyze 20-century office buildings inNew York City converse to the residential apartment to examine the possibility of the adaptive-reuse solution works for historic office buildings in cities of China. The research is based on three case study buildings in the Wall Street Historic District:20 Exchange Place, Woolworth Building, and 10 Hanover Square. Design, policy, culture, and other aspects were studied to understand key factors in the successful adaptation of historic office buildings to apartments in NYC
