Amanda Stevens

Concentration: Preservation Planning
Internship: Philadelphia City Planning Commission; Tacony Community Development Corporation

Amanda Stevens is interested in the intersection of preservation, design, and community development. She has always been fascinated by the impact the built environment has on people’s everyday lives. Her desire to understand how policies and practices have affected and continue to transform cities led her to pursue a dual degree in City and Regional Planning and Historic Preservation. During her time at the Weitzman School of Design, she explored different tools to support place-based and community-driven projects. She also advocates for preservation-based strategies to drive successful and equitable neighborhood development.
