Ashna Jaiswal

Coming from a background in Architecture, and then pursuing Landscape Architecture and Regional Planning, I have been able to broaden my education by dealing with the current scenarios considering climate change and resiliency, and working with the idea of self-sufficiency and self-autonomous communities. I have always been drawn to informality and given my upbringing in Delhi, I am unintentionally trained not to ignore the same. I seek to design to incorporate informalities as a part of cities of the future.
My experience at Penn has helped me take me a step closer in building socially, ecologically justified design, specially in contexts which have always suffered the capitalistic effects of climate change and green washing.
