Hanyong Xu

Hanyong has explored with projects ranging from city planning, data science, and public policy. Her interests include leveraging spatial data analysis to facilitate smart city development, urban design, and business growth. She participated in the Austin Transit Ridership Prediction Project in her final semester at Penn where she helped develop machine learning algorithms and built an application for local planners to understand ridership changes through different scenarios.

Hanyong studied at the University of Pennsylvania for her Master of Urban Spatial Analytics. Previously, she received Honors Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto with a double major in architectural design and economics.
