Within the spectrum of typical residential and commercial architecture lies the elements of Living, Working, and Playing. We are familiar with the three, but is there a fourth that results in the intersection of all of these elements? What kind of architecture does this kind of fused space yield, or rather, what kind of form produces this programmatic intersection?

This project aims to investigate how two completely different building typologies meet to create one iconic form, and from the same footprint below, carve out a negative void that mirrors its above grade condition and produces public below-grade retail equally as unforgettable as it's positive opposite above. Situated between the city metropolis and the residential, this speculative model acts as a medium for the imagination of what could be an iconic fusion of three distinctly different programs, architecture and lifestyles and the public space it can create.
