Rachel Yi Lu
Currently, I am a graduate student at the University of Pennsylvania major in Architecture. I have three years of working experience in architecture and interior design. I am proficient in Pre-schematic Design, Schematic Design, and Construction Documentation. I hold a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) professional credential, LEED AP BD+C. I am plan to pursue my architecture license within the coming year.
I love designing small products for daily use and gifts. Every year I find myself two to three product-design-challenges to fulfill. Last year the tasks were a neck pillow (MagiFillow) and two IoT products (News Melody & Flamingo). In 2020, my initial plan is to design a piece of jewelry - a wedding band for my fiance. The joy of designing, making, and sharing keeps me motivated and inspired.
