Personal Statement:
A background in archaeology has led to a passion for historic preservation through the 3-D documentation and preservation of Altman’s Mill in Saltsburg, PA. My time at Penn has been focused on understanding how sites in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania are operated and maintained. This stewardship by the Commonwealth is being cultivated into a thesis which evaluates the deaccession process conducted by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission from 1981 to 2000.
