Internship: Planning and Development Department, City of Detroit & Mongol Ecology Center

Personal Statement:
Preservation and environmental design initially sounded paradoxical to me. However, thinking in the way of heritage and sustainability, I found my graduate education in perfect harmony, providing an essential and critical gaze of our built environment. If it was not the conjunction of these two disciplines, I would find architecture even justifiable. I came here to search for a sound ground to build upon my architectural narrative, and I have tried to understand, and digest into my thesis, using a sustainability lens looking at high historic significance renovation. The product is WIP but certainly reflects my best efforts.
