Architectures Doubled Models: Living Bridge London

As social distancing has brought about new patterns and habits on the use of public space inmost all cities, our studio considers a speculative project for a post pandemic living bridge on the River Thames London. Challenging normative formulation of design modeling the project engages the two precedent texts in their dialogic formation. Methodology: Le Ricolais’ experimental structures for super long span roof/ bridges collected at the Penn Architectural archives will be dialogically considered in relation to the conceptual/theoretical diagram offered by Rosalind Kraus in her essay Sculpture in the Expanded Field. Doubling of the two text/models in their architectural transpositions will frame new expanded referent fields for a contemporary bridge project for the River Thames London.
