Wachsmann’s Sublime? | Anti Architecture of Konrad Wachsmann

Following our sequence of studio research on the production of Quasi Things in architecture, this semester we extend our studies on the role of emotions in architecture. Emotions, that is not only as produced in the experience of space but in consideration of the way they prompt aesthetic formulations and conceptual categories in the formation of space. More specifically, our focus of study are the emotions framed under the concept of the Sublime articulating and affecting conceptions and processes of design in architecture.

A concert space transformable from summer space festivals to enclosed inside space. Two options will be on offer for site.  A site on the North shore Halibut Point Park in Gloucester MA on the site of a disused quarry or another to be chosen in relation to the Yosemite site.
