Improving your Small Talk and Networking Skills

In this interactive workshop with Katie Ryan (language connectED), Director of Curriculum Development, attendees will explore language, strategies, and skills for effective communication for the small talk/networking platform. Ultimately, this will allow attendees to strengthen their networks and better represent their work, their lab, and their institution. This workshop includes skill-based practice addressing the linguistic and cultural demands that non-native speakers of English regularly experience in casual yet professional conversation at conferences and in similar settings.
