The Fabrication Lab serves as a practical laboratory extension of classroom theory. The Lab is equipped for all phases of woodworking, metalworking, and machining, as well as digital fabrication with CNC routing, laser cutting, and 3D printing. The lab is available to all University of Pennsylvania Stuart Weitzman School of Design students and to all students enrolled in ancillary Weitzman courses.
The lab is directed by Dennis Pierattini. He and his staff welcome your design and fabrication related inquiries.

Monday - Thursday: 8:00am - 7:00pm
Friday: 8:00am - 4:00pm
Saturday - Sunday: 11:00am - 6:00pm

You must complete the online Lab Safety Course module before you may use the Lab. The module can be accessed on Knowledge Link. If the module has not already been assigned to you, enter “Weitzman Fabrication Lab Safety Course” in the search function. Please contact Dennis Pierattini with any questions concerning this training. Representations of previous experience cannot be accepted in lieu of completion of this safety course.
