Materials: How were specific materials used in rowhouse construction selected? How did they change over time? What remediation techniques were utilized to address their deterioration?
Typologies: How did rowhouse typology change in time and by location within the recognized structure of common wall construction? What can these changes tell us about the preservation challenges and social life associated with them?
Mapping: How did the city grow and how were Philadelphia rowhouses modified over time and space to respond to local conditions? Are there relationships between location, density, community health, crime and threats to rowhouse preservation that can be predicted based on mapping criteria?
