Molly Bourne (RLA, FASLA) is a Principal at MNLA, a New York City-based landscape architecture firm and a lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania.
Molly has practiced for over thirty years and believes that landscape architecture is an optimistic way of seeing the world. In her practice, she has championed the design of vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable public open spaces that enrich communities and nurture human connections, as well as integrate resiliency and climate adaptation. Molly's consistent passion and commitment to excellence have driven her design teams towards many renewed and transformed spaces within the urban fabric of New York City and beyond. Most recently, she has led MNLA’s efforts for Waterline Square, the South Bronx Greenway Master Plan, and Randall’s Island Connector. Molly’s contributions to the East Side Coastal Resiliency project radically reimagined the interaction between humans and nature by weaving flood protection through, above, and below open space. A graduate of the University of Florida, Molly holds a Bachelor of Arts in Landscape Architecture. In 2024, she was elected to the Council of Fellows of the American Society of Landscape Architects, one of the highest honors the ASLA bestows upon its members. Since 2012, she has actively fostered the future of design through her work with the ACE Mentor Program for New York City high school students.
