The 2020 Jury of Fellows from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) elevated 116 AIA members to its prestigious College of Fellows, including two Philadelphia Weitzman alumni: Samuel E. Olshin (MArch'86) and David L. Schrader (MArch'93). Olshin is a principal at Atkin Olshin Schade Architects, whose projects include the recent renovation of Philadelphia’s Metropolitan Opera House. Schrader is founding/managing partner of SCHRADERGROUP, whose design for a new middle school in Holland, Pennsylvania, received LEED Gold certification.
The Fellowship program was developed to elevate those architects who have made a significant contribution to architecture and society and who have achieved a standard of excellence in the profession. Election to fellowship not only recognizes the achievements of architects as individuals, but also their significant contribution to architecture and society on a national level.
In the coming weeks Design Weekly will highlight other Weitzman alumni AIA fellows from across the country.
