Mary Osunlana is a photographer and photo editor based in Los Angeles. Born in Nigeria and raised in South Florida. Mary graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2020, where she studied English, Cinema and Media Studies, and Fine Arts. She’s currently inspired by Black futurity, the tactility of images, and sun-ripened mangos.
Sam Sherman is an artist based in New York working primarily in painting, printmaking, and video. His work interrogates the coverage of international conflict in news media and its relationship to advertising, commerce, and labor. Sherman holds an MFA from Hunter College (2020) and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania (2016) where he majored in Fine Arts and Chemistry. In 2019, he studied at the University of the Arts in Berlin under the mentorship of Hito Steyerl. Sherman participated in an apprenticeship at the Fabric Workshop and Museum in Philadelphia in 2016 and residencies at the Chautauqua Institution in 2016 and at Silver Art Projects in New York in 2021. He has exhibited in Philadelphia; Lexington, MA; Berlin, Germany; and New York including at the Sotheby’s Institute of Art, the Border Project Space, and currently at Pompei. His work was featured in the 2021 Wheaton College Biennial in Norton, Massachusetts. He teaches at the School of Visual Arts in New York.
Melissa Maza graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 2019, where she studied Visual Studies. As a student, Melissa served on the Institute of Contemporary Art Student Advisory Board and the Sachs Program for Arts Innovation Grants Evaluation Committee. Currently, Melissa is the Business Coordinator at Artnet Auctions and Private Sales, where she primarily focuses on client development, business coordination, and marketing. Prior to joining Artnet, she worked at Sotheby’s in the American Art department and has held internships in the Sotheby’s Photographs department and at the Arthur Ross Gallery.
Emily Lipson is a full-time commercial freelance photographer who graduated from UPENN in 2016 with a BA in Visual Studies, with a concentration in Fine Art. She mostly works in editorial and commercial fashion and beauty photography. Following graduation from UPENN, she worked at Condé Nast as an Assistant Photo Producer at Vanity Fair and then a Photo Editor at W Magazine. She began shooting while working at Condé Nast, getting her first published work at Allure, Teen Vogue, and Them. She has now been published in Interview Magazine, W Magazine, Office Magazine, Allure, PAPER Magazine, Document Journal and more. Her commercial clients include Nike, MILK Makeup, Parade, Adidas, Tory Burch, Inamorata Woman, Charli XCX, and more. In 2021 she was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in the Arts & Style category. Her work is largely inspired by humility and humanity in her subject manner and an appreciation for image as object, and photographs as tactile, deploying a manual post process to her photography.
